A Christmas Season Summary

After lots of cookie decorating to warm ourselves up for the season, I took a breather before finals and Phil and I celebrated our own Christmas the Saturday before. We made cinnamon rolls and everything. Phil got some socks and underwear (what Christmas isn't complete without these essentials?) as well as some CD's and a tent! I was lucky enough to get some gym clothes that weren't lame (the brown sweat pants just aren't good) and some jewelry making supplies (my new art form)! Very exciting.

After my last final on Tuesday, we took off for MN. Tuesday night I got to drop in on a XA girls night and see my ladies! We headed to the Larsons for the night, and spent the next day with some good friends in the cities :). Thursday we got to hang out with Addie for a long time, and then we took off for Baxter, MN, which is always a good time. My mom made mashed potatoes. Need I say more?

Brent and Shannon joined us the next day, and we celebrated with them and played a lot of Wii, which is very fun, but makes me so sore! Phil is especially good at the tennis target one. I also received a very stylish pair of purple pajama pants. Saturday we journeyed on again, through some crazy snow across the state to Two Harbors.

Marvo couldn't make it up on Sunday, so it was a little weird, but we had fun. Our whole family on that side came up to my dad's new house in Two Harbors, and so we got to see everybody. We ended the night with some more Wii, and headed back down to Barnum (what do you do with cows?!) to see my grandparents for a little while.

Back down to Maple Grove for the Christmas eve service at MapleRidge and the Larson Christmas! It was so fun to be there for Addie's first Christmas! She's a really good tissue paper puller. This was not the only talent discovered, however. Marci wowed us all with her mad Guitar Hero skills (they didn't tell us that she'd been practicing all week)!

So now we're back home and the house is still a mess, but slowly we're working on it. :) We're having an overnighter for the youth for New Years Eve, so that will be fun. I'm really enjoying this break from school, but am still excited to get my new textbooks...and maybe some new pens.
